August 2011 UBF.B participates in Indo-German Investment Summit 2011

On September, 13th 2011 the Indo-German Investment Summit 2011 is held in Berlin in the course of the Asia-Pacific-Weeks. The conference incorporates three parallel running expert forums: Law in India, Services overview and Industry focus. Mr. Andreas Waldraff of UBF.B will speak about the latest developments of the Indian automotive industry (market potentials for German SMEs in the automotive component market, procurement etc.).

The organisers, Wegweiser Media & Conferences in collaboration with the Indian Embassy and OAV, expects more than 250 participants including many VIPs from India.

Juni 2011 UBF.B opens International Purchasing Office in Chennai

UBF.B expands its services and opens an International Purchasing Office. The office is located in Chennai and is currently under construction. The new services include all tasks from sourceability check of parts, market research, and identification of suppliers to handling of the RfQ-process, the pre-audits, and analysis of offers to organisation of post-SOP services. In the initial phase the service will be focused on commercial vehicles.

February 2011 German-Indian Round Table started in Pune

On February 16th, 2011, about twenty businessmen have established the Pune chapter of German Indian Round Table (GIRT), the second chapter in India after New Delhi. Ajay Mehta, CEO of Crossover Advisors, has taken the chair. Guests from Germany have been Ms. Iris Becker, Chairwoman of GIRT in Freiburg, Thomas Zwissler, Chairman of GIRT in Munich, and Andreas Waldraff, MD of UBF·B, Chairman of GIRT in Berlin and Chairman of GIRT network.

German Indian Round Table is an association of businessmen with a strong interest in Indo-German cooperation. It has set itself the task to facilitate the business relations between the two countries (www.girt.in).
September 2010 Indo-German Day at IZB Wolfsburg, Germany, on Oct. 7th, 2010.

UBF·B, the automotive consultancy with a focus on Indo-German business, organises an Indo-German Day at this year’s International Suppliers Fair IZB in Wolfsburg, Germany, which is patronised by Volkswagen. Indian suppliers will meet with professional buyers and with German suppliers of their sector. October 2009 UBF·B supports Indian suppliers until SOP
As part of a first time project of a leading car manufacturer, UBF·B is assigned with the qualification of Indian automotive component manufacturers to meet the requirements of the OEM with regard to process capability and quality management. Project goal is the successful start of production in December 2009.

February 2009 High Interest in company acquisitions
UBF·B is recording an increasing interest of Indian automotive component manufacturers in company acquisitions in Germany. India hopes to be less effected by the current world economic crisis. The International Monetary Fund projects an economic growth of 5.1 % in 2009 for the subcontinent.

November 2007 M&A assignment by a renowned German SME
With the aim to start their business in India and to strengthen their German operations, UBF·B was assigned with M&A services for a renowned German SME. A major criterion for identifying a suitable Indian partner and building a business relationship will be the technical compatibility of both companies.

October 2007 Indo-German PE fund by IVCF and UBF·B
During the visit of the German chancellor to Delhi, IFCI Venture Capital Funds Ltd. (IVCF) and UBF.B have signed a MoU for management of the ‘India Automotive Component Manufacturers Private Equity Fund 1’ (IACM-1). IACM-1 will be set up with the objective to empower Indian automotive component manufacturing companies to scale up for the world markets. The target volume of the fund is EUR 100 million.

  New Volkswagen Institute for Sourcing
UBF·B supports the new Volkswagen ‘Institute for Sourcing’, in co-operation with the University of Stuttgart. The institute is designed to contribute in strengthening the network between science and industry in the area of sourcing.
