| German-Indian Round Table started in Coimbatore On October 1st, 2011 started the German-Indian Round Table (GIRT) in Coimbatore, increasing the number of GIRTs in India to three and globally to fifteen. Around 15 businessmen took part in the initial meeting. Many German companies established subsidiaries in the South-Indian city. There is a great interest in an exchange on the part of Indian businessmen as well. Mr. Rüdiger Schröder, President and CEO of Roots Multiclean Ltd., has taken the chair. Dr. Andreas Waldraff, MD of UBF.B Gmbh, Chairman of the GIRT Berlin and Chairman of the GIRT network worldwide, came to Coimbatore to launch the new GIRT together with Mr. Schröder. Mr. Waldraff announced that more chapters will be set up in other Indian cities. German Indian Round Table is an association of businessmen with a strong interest in Indo-German cooperation. It has set itself the task to facilitate the business relations between the two countries (www.girt.in). |
